Sweet Werewolves All Summer Long

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" tune sound a tad bit similar to Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and Skynrd's "Sweet Home Alabama"?

Kid Rock - "All Summer Long"

Warren Zevon - "Werewolves of London"

Lynrd Skynrd - "Sweet Home Alabama"

Not just a little, alot. When I first heard the intro, I thought I was hearing a remake of "Werewolves.." So I guess we would be correct in saying either Kid Rock has nothing new to write or sing or he has actually created some media attention by stealing parts of others work. Either way, he's needs to quit.

I think you are wrong Barb!
Kid Rock did not steal these tunes!
He is a genius for combinding and mixing 2 great songs to make another. He took tunes of the past, and added a taste of the present day rock and made a great song with a creative rythym with both old school and new school twist! He obviously didnt steal the songs, he had to use the Skynard tune since making reference to the song: "Singing Sweet Home Alabamba All Summer Long"
This song is simpley about someone remenensing about their youth, discussing things that went on, things they did, the youth activities and the songs they jamed to back in the day!

I think that other musicians applaud the creative efforts by Kid Rock to make a artistic musical twist of tunes to make a hit song. I love it and I am not even a Kid Rock Fan. But I love artistic musical creations. If you had any musical knowledge you would clearly recognise the talents behind this tune. Kid Rock doesnt need to wuit, you need to quit writing retarded blogs about stuff you dont know about! You wouldnt know musical talent if it bit you in the nose!
I apoligise for my bold rude comments, but yours deserved it!

I love this post. The first time I heard it, I thought it was Werewolves of London. Thanks to my iTunes shuffling, this song now comes on instead of one of my weird-ass favorites from the 80s. Honestly, I believed he stole from Warren Zevon, but honestly referenced Lynyrd Skynyrd. So, in a way, I agree with you, but you have to admit, this song is pretty catchy.
